The story behind the name
Biography
My full name is Zeeshan Hamza. Zeeshan is a Persian-origin given name meaning "glorious" or "of high rank," while Hamza is an Arabic name meaning "steadfast" or "strong" — traditionally associated with courage and resolve.
Together, the name reflects the values I try to bring into my work: steady, deliberate craftsmanship paired with the ambition to build things that matter. Those two ideas — steadiness and ambition — show up constantly in how I approach software: shipping reliable systems while still pushing to learn the next framework, the next pattern, the next way of doing things better.
I grew up around technology early and never really left it — from tinkering with my first website to now leading architecture decisions on production systems used by real people. Every stop along the way added a layer: a language, a framework, a hard-earned lesson about what breaks at scale.
Today, based in Pakistan, I split my time between hands-on engineering and mentoring — reviewing code, untangling gnarly bugs, and helping teammates grow the way people once helped me.
